The author is a seasoned and well versed teacher who has evolved into a research-teacher because of his experiences with disengaged readers in middle and high school. As the author progressed and changed his point of view through the years of failures we too as teachers and school officials must progress and change so that the result will support continuous growth and development for the school, teachers, and most importantly the students.

I hope to use some of the techniques listed in your PowerPoint in my class to make it more effective in the future. I like that you broke it down in question form of the problems that the author wanted to touch upon in that chapter.
